CHAMPIONSHIP ALL ABPOUT? Is all about promoting professionalism of
delivery of speech by young people through the art of public speaking. 2017
MOPPS Championship
is the 6th edition in an attempt to continually promote quality speaking culture among Students in Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, to educate and enlightening Nigeria Youths on critical issues as it affects the society, To provide personal development opportunity to students in various Departments in Moshood Abiola Polytechnic on how to research, write and present in 7-10 minute to the audience, To create learning situations in which students develop proficiency based on sound educational and communication theories, To provide a significant training ground for the development of students communicative abilities and To Promote MAPOLY and JCI relations through participation in an intellectual activity. The MOPPS championship is open to MAPOLY students in various departments.

By researching,
writing and deliver a speech on topical issues of interest, the participant will acquire a greater
understanding of the role young people play
in social, political and economic development of a nation and they will also benefit from the specific benefits
listed above. The contest will provide an incentives for the 2nd runner up, 1st runner up and
winner for their boldness, ability and communication skills that is vital to
the development of young leadership and to help them in preparation for work
life and their educational career.
